Stylista Enterprises is happy to be part of Mercedes & Wydell wedding day. We are honored to have been chosen by Mercedes to give her the bridal treatment before walking down the isle on September 4, 2010.

Mercedes & Wydell will be having a religious ceremony at the Immaculate Conception in Montclair, NJ. Immediately after, the couple will go to their reception where they will be introduced for the first time as husband and wife to family and friends at the gorgeous and very romantic venue, Grand Chalet in Wayne, NJ

Mercedes is such a sweet and beautiful young lady who will sure make a beautiful bride.

She's very easy to work with and has expressed to us that on the special day, she wants a very contemporary, sexy look that will show off her vibrant personality. We have decided to focus on her eyes. She will have a smokey eye look with splashes of raspberry, terracotta and other earth tones to match her bridesmaids' dresses.

Mercedes has flawless skin, so giving her that bronzed healthy glow won't be difficult.

Her hair will be flowing....long soft curls to add bounce and volume.

We can't reveal too many details...just yet! We want the groom to be surprised! But we will be posting pictures of Mercedes' "step by step" bridal makeover.

The couple will be going on their honeymoon to "The Island of Enchantment" Puerto Rico; where they will stay at the fabulous El Conquistador. This is a very romantic hotel with its own private beach called Palomino.

Mercedes & Wydell told us the lovely story of how they met and we are delighted to share it with you...

While attending Montclair State University, the two were employed as resident assistants by the Office of Residential Education & Services. During a training seminar in summer 2006, Wydell noticed Mercedes and decided to approach her. Nervously, he asked Mercedes "I'm making a movie, would you like to be in it?" Mercedes asked Wydell "What's the name of the movie?" Foolishly, Wydell said "College girls gone wild!" Mercedes dismissed his rude comment and paid no attention to him throughout the remainder of the training session.

Five months later, during the winter training, Mercedes bumped into Wydell where she noticed a more mature man and decided to give him another chance. Later that evening, the two attended a party where they finally had an opportunity to sit and get to know each other.

On his way home, Wydell was in a car accident and the next morning all he could think about was finding his phone to get Mercedes' phone number. After about an hour of searching the totaled vehicle, Wydell found his phone only to discover that it was inoperable.

Luckily, Mercedes left him a voice message concerned that he didn't call her that night, to let her know that he got home safely. Wydell immediately called Mercedes to inform her of the bad news. That afternoon, she came to comfort him and they've been together every day since.

Also in October, right after the Chicago market, there is the always much anticipated bridal market in New York City....The Wedding Channel Couture Show!

October 16th through the 18th

Like every year, the event is held at the InterContinental The Barclay New York ~ 111 East 48th Street (Between Lexington & Park Avenue) This show is the most established, premier bridal industry trade show in New York City since 1995. Twice yearly (April & October) national and international designers, retailers and press attend WCCS to introduce, buy and announce the latest fashion trends in the bridal industry.

We can't wait to attend this year's show. In the mean time, here are some pictures from last year's market at the exhibition of Spaniard designer Rosa Clará 2010 collection

Rosa Clará is THE designer for the modern, feminine, contemporary bride. Her designs are all cut to order and manufactured in their headquarters in Barcelona, Spain. The 2010 collection is based of simple lines with close-fitting gowns, ruffles, rosettes...it's simply stunning! The fabrics are top quality...natural draped silk muslin are used to create skirts that are sheer - perfect for a beach wedding! Rosa Clará also uses in her designs natural silk taffeta and silk organza with floral appliques, giving the skirts spectacular volume that combines with the hand-stitched main section with herringbone pleats.

She has designed the wedding gowns for numerous celebrities among those the three fabulous gowns worn by International Spanish singer Paulina Rubio.

The designer has already five different collections that will sure please the taste of different brides. The collections are ROSA CLARA, TWO BY ROSA CLARA, AIRE BARCELONA, ALMA NOVIA and the newest collection for 2011 LUNA.

The collection 2011 AIRE BARCELONA by Rosa Clará was introduced this past April at the Wedding Channel Couture Show in New York and will be presented as well at the Chicago bridal market this October. Penelope Cruz' sister, Monica is the new face for AIRE BARCELONA. These designs are very youthful, fresh and modern. They're also introducing their Fiesta Collection (all silk fabrics), for bridesmaids, mother of the bride or simply breathtaking designs suitable for a red carpet event.

Aside from bringing you the hottest new designers the bridal market has to offer, we will be bringing you the details of each special event we attend this year. I can never forget the extraordinary celebration of the 15th Anniversary of Martha Stewart Weddings. I had the pleasure to attend this VIP event at the one and only dream venue for all brides "The Plaza" in New York.

It was an exhilarating ride to be able to mingle with so many talented and creative people in the industry...all under one roof. Renowned designers, celebrity wedding planners, boutique owners such as Kleinfeld, Mark Ingram, among others enjoyed the delicious display of food from the chefs at The Plaza and also Iron Chef Morimoto served us an array of sushi, sashimi and other delicacies of his cuisine. The decor was stunning and the one responsible of course...Matthew Robbins Design. The room was transformed with white furniture and pink & gold accents.

Stylista Enterprises is honored to have been chosen to be the team of stylists responsible for Jennifer's wedding look.

Jennifer Pizarro and Fernando Quevedo will be vowing their love on August 1st at Church West Hudson Christian Center in Kearny, New Jersey. The reception will take place at the gorgeous venue in Verona, Richfield Regency. They will be enjoying their honeymoon in Paradise...exotic Costa Rica!

The fun couple met while working at MBNA/BOA in November 2006, but it wasn't until February 4, 2007 they had their first date. Since then they have become inseparable.

Stylista Enterprises styled Jennifer for her engament photo session (pictures above). We are very excited and can't wait to give her the bridal glow on her wedding day!

We feel happy to share with you the very romantic story of how Fernando proposed to Jennifer...in her own words:

Las Vegas has always been special for us. On 9/1/09, we returned for our 4th time in 3 years. That night Fernando made reservations for us to have dinner at the Top of the World restaurant at the Stratosphere Hotel. Once we arrived at there the concierge told us we had to walk through a metal detector & take an elevator to the 108th floor. I noticed that he looked nervous, but I didn't think anything of it. As he was about to walk through the metal detector the security guard rudely asked me to wait for Fernando by the elevator. On the elevator I mention to him that the guard was rude,he said "No babe" and just smiled. We get to the 108th floor and the hostess said it would be 20 minutes. Instead of waiting inside, he asked me to go to the Outdoor Deck so we could enjoy the view of the Vegas strip, over 1000 feet high. It was so breathtaking & romantic. Once again I noticed that he seemed nervous & was breathing a little heavy, but again I didn't think anything of it. We were holding hands & enjoying the view when he said how much he loves me & how Las Vegas is so special for us. He kissed me & said he had to bring me to Las Vegas to ask me something important. Everything was so perfect, but I was still clueless. Until he got down on one knee & asked me to marry him. I immediately started jumping and said yes,yes,yes!! He was still nervous. As he was putting the ring on my finger, his hand was shaking. It was so adorable. Sometimes I still can't believe how Fernando proposed to me. It was perfect! Oh, remember how I said that the guard was rude to me? Fernando said that he got nervous for the metal detector since he didn't want me to see the box & ruin the surprise. When I wasn't looking he said he quickly showed the guard the box. The guard whispered "no problem." That's why the guard asked me to wait for Fernando by the elevator. So he could put it back in his pocket without me seeing. That's why he said he smiled when I said the guard was rude to me.
